Wathen Aviation High School Open for New Students


Riverside, CA, 3rd April 2008 - After three years of success, innovation Wathen Aviation High School is ready to extend the measures in order to have more students in Grades 9-12. The WAHS public is a free Charter High School, inside the historic Flabob Airport, in possession of Thomas W. Wathen Foundation.

“We worked hard WAHS an extraordinary experience in aviation,” said Dr. Arthur Peterson Wathen of the Foundation. Our children go to school is in a very active airport for general aviation. We are pleased with the situation , to accept more students. ”

WAHS uses aviation to inspire students to learn the mathematics, natural sciences, history and technology. The courses in college to teach and federal standards and the use of aviation as a way to motivate students to learn.

“For example, if our children are studying the end of the Cold War, they learn, on the incredible technological achievements from the United States in the development of the SR71, and how the plane played a role in the history, “said Major General Pat Halloran, trustee of the Foundation Wathen.
